CSV to SQL online: query a file and inspect the calculation
A CSV contains values and headers rather than a full database schema. Before asking a question, check whether identifiers, dates and amounts were interpreted as intended. A query tool can calculate over the uploaded file; that is different from generating a production database migration or exporting an entire SQL database.
Validate a small example
- Use a non-sensitive file with a total you already know.
- Check missing values, duplicate rows and the date range.
- Inspect the generated SQL and compare one result with a manual calculation.
- Keep the question and assumptions with the exported answer.
